The Lord's Prayer

Okay so not all the words are not correct but I'm still pretty impressed!

P90X

Have you heard of it? It's pretty intense! David and I decided that we were going to give it a try. We have been doing it for 3 days and although we are very sore we feel great! I hope we'll be able to stick with it for all 13 weeks! We took before pictures (awful!) and there is no way I'm going to post them. Maybe when we look like the people in the above picture I'll post the before pictures.

New House

We are now the proud owners of two houses! Well, not officially cause we don't close until March 1st but as far as I'm concerned we have a new house. Where you ask? Ocean Springs, Mississippi. David signed a contract in December with a group that works on the coast (Pascagoula, Ocean Springs) that he will begin when he finishes his residency the end of June. We really love the house and the street and Brannon is so excited the house has a pool (it's actually the only one he would consider)! At 3000 sq ft we are going to double the size of our house now so I think it's going to feel huge. Hopefully plenty of room for guests! Our house now is on the market and has been for two weeks now. It's been a little challenge keeping it clean and picked up but I'm actually really enjoying having it that way. Hopefully people will keep looking and someone will buy it soon!

Girls weekend

Last weekend I was lucky enough to have a weekend trip to Birmingham to visit with my best college friends! It was a fantastic time. I got to attend two baby showers for friends that will both be first time moms. I also got to meet another friend's new baby and attend his baptism. The rest of the time was spent sitting in PJs, talking, and catching up! I loved every second! I really do have some wonderful friends who are all SO different. None of us live in the same place so it's good when we have an excuse to travel from all over the country to get together.

Lessons from a 3 year old

We were in the car on the way home from school the other day:
Brannon: Mommy, will you hand me my sticker book?
Me: I'll try but I'm driving so I may not be able to get it.
So we spend the next couple of minutes with me reaching blindly behind me searching through the pile of books that has accumulated in our car over time while trying to stay in my own lane. Each time I hold up a book he quickly responds that it is not the sticker book. After about 10 tries I have lost all patience and tell him I can't find it and that he will have to wait until we get home.
Brannon: It's RIGHT there!
So I dangerously look behind me, barely see it out of the corner of my eye, reach across the car for it, and hand it over to a delighted Brannon.
Brannon: See mommy, NEVER give up!
Thanks a lot MeMe for teaching this lesson. He has already learned how to manipulate the lessons for his own good.

9 day family tour

His very own camera from Nana and Papa.

Fun on the lawn at the Grand Hotel.

Hotel living is great!

Adults-only dinner!! We missed you David. I guess someone has to work.

I LOVE my daddy!

My little tennis pro. Look how he's watching the ball. Amazing I tell you!
Two of Taylor's favorite things: being outside and being with his daddy!

Snuggle time!

My little lion!

Fun with the new fishing pole!

We traveled on a 3-state coastal tour starting on Christmas day. 3 nights at the Grand Hotel in Fairhope, 3 nights in Destin, and 3 nights in Pascagoula. We had a great visit with lots of family time. I'm so grateful that both of our families are willing to all spend time together to help make our lives and our kids lives easier and more enjoyable during the holidays.

Christmas

We were so glad to have MeMe and Poppy in town for Christmas. On Christmas Eve we went to the Christmas Eve service at church, opened Christmas pajamas and a few other presents at home, and baked cookies for Santa. Brannon slept on a mattress in our room so he could wake us up first thing Christmas morning. The only thing Brannon asked Santa for was a candy cane. He delivered that along with plenty of other things: basketball and basketball goal, books, puzzle, binoculars, light-up Buzz Lightyear slippers, and his favorite thing... a belt. Taylor made out with ball popper toy, stacking rings, a singing alphabet spin wheel, and books.

Hey, look at me

Guess what mommy, this no longer contains me! Time to find some other way to keep me in one spot.
