We were in the car on the way home from school the other day:
Brannon: Mommy, will you hand me my sticker book?
Me: I'll try but I'm driving so I may not be able to get it.
So we spend the next couple of minutes with me reaching blindly behind me searching through the pile of books that has accumulated in our car over time while trying to stay in my own lane. Each time I hold up a book he quickly responds that it is not the sticker book. After about 10 tries I have lost all patience and tell him I can't find it and that he will have to wait until we get home.
Brannon: It's RIGHT there!
So I dangerously look behind me, barely see it out of the corner of my eye, reach across the car for it, and hand it over to a delighted Brannon.
Brannon: See mommy, NEVER give up!
Thanks a lot MeMe for teaching this lesson. He has already learned how to manipulate the lessons for his own good.

ReplyDeleteHe is super smart and boy do they start early at manipulation! Had a great time with you this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm so proud of him...he learns lessons well!! If that's all he learns from MeMe as he grows up, it will take him far (and you, too, undoubtedly!).
